Ole Miss is his current leader too. FSU mod on 247 says they are no longer recruiting him.

quote:

***2016 4-star wide receiver Drake Davis who lives in Baton Rouge, La., named Ole Miss his leader upon arrival this morning. He has offers from Ole Miss, Alabama, Florida State, Miami and others. Interestingly, LSU has not offered. Davis says he is transferring to IMG Academy in Florida to play his senior season. He is a 6-4, 215 pounder that stands out in a crowd

IMG is on another level, I just watched this commercial on Espnu.

There are reasons for this. He's a great talent, but a headache.

It's easier to count the schools in the Southeast he hasn't gone to.

It's a pity because he's such a good athlete. I think he recently ran a 10.76 100m.

I wouldn't be surprised if we crank up the intensity. We do want one more receiver in this class or he could be one helluva LBer. If he has a good year at IMG, where we already have a solid foot in the door, I think we could go after him.

Even if he doesn't have the best hands in the world, that can be taught. You can't teach his measurables and athleticism

Man that's going to be great for smiths development. Talk about an intense practice atmosphere.

Id say they can be improved, yes, but OBJ wasn't taught what he has, nor Jarvis. Plus to perfect his craft, and truly improve his hands, Davis would have to put in lots of work, like the previously mentioned two did, and Davis' past doesn't indicate he will do that.

If the staff hasn't offered by now, I don't think Davis will get one.

What's the rule with players going there and being eligible. Are his parents moving? I must be behind, but I thought the family had to move to make him eligible

If we still want Anderson, I don't see why we wouldn't want Davis unless it's on the field related. He's an amazing athlete and could grow into a TE or play WR at his current weight or even work out at DE and LB.

Not positive, v t IMG is really good with its athletes, so I assume all is well if they want him. That's one school I'd have loved to have gone to had it been an option growing up

Is he the one who was going to play soccer instead of football but then changed his mind?

Idk how IMG is allowed to do what they do... It's seriously an athletic specific high school

Yeah, but he said the media blew it out of proportion. He wanted to play soccer one last time before dedicating himself to football. I had almost given up on this guy because I haven't heard any news in months, but he is going to blow up at IMG Academy and we need to get on him right now. I would hate if Bama, UF, or FSU got this freak athlete.
