To me that means bama was his front runner and now is considering lsu. No way would he all of the sudden start considering lsu. I think we have closed the gap.

Could be that the pressure of letting down the LSU faithful is getting to him. I'm not sure how to read it. Is it putting off the inevitable until closer to signing day in an attempt minimizes recoil? Or has he had a change of heart and is prepared announce his intentions after the MNC?

Time will tell...

It's amazing that LSU has to come on strong with a kid from La with two all Americans in the secondary, and two straight Thorpe Award winners, and likely two consecutive top 10 draft picks in the same secondary.

It could be one of two things.
He wants to commit to Bama but wants to wait till nsd to reduce all the backlash.
He is really torn between the schools and wants more time.

Also, announcing in Louisiana would benefit lsu.

Just doesn't make sense. Playing time is virtually the same at both. Both are top-tier programs playing for the MNC. Why would you not want to stay home?

Maybe he needs to head off to the desert with Chavez-Chavez and get some spiritual direction with the aid of peyote slices.

Wait, that might not be a good idea afterall...carry on!

Based on what..

Either way favors Lsu. The only thing bama has is his gf. All reputable analysts favor Lsu as in 70/30, 80/20, 65/35, etc..

Im guessing the line of thinking is that, if he's going to announce Bama, hes more likely to do it away from the state of louisiana. (at the game)

If he decides to annouce at his HS in state, its more likely to be a crowd favorite school - LSU.

My take: if he announces at his HS, he's all LSU. If he annoucnes at the game, its prolly LSU, but it makes me a little less confident.

why does everyone seem to think this favors LSU? i dont follow recruiting much but just bc he delays his announcement, i dont see why this favors lsu

thought the consensus here was that if a local kid didnt commit immediately then they must be leaning to out of state, correct?

According to the Gunner Kiel commitment stuff, that only applies when LSU is the out of state school.

Makes me question the whole situation.

Remember commits like Randle or Rasco? They waited until the very end and that turned out for LSU. I believe they also did their announcements at their high schools. Like some have said on here, if they do it front of their high school peers, (who are going to be 99% LSU fans) that would seem to favor LSU.

Nothing he does favors anyone:

IF he Announces at UA For bama - consider the backlash for a month in BR. That would favor a delayed announcement
But he'll be doing a delayed announcement in BR so it favors Lsu.

Either way, we can find a way for the sky to fall. Regardless of timing, I think Lsu is in good shape.

The kid is taking time making a life decision. Let's just hope he makes a decision based off more than where his gf attends college.

His mind is made up...he just loves the drama.

Like screwing with everyone by having his girl Tweet pro Saban stuff and make references to situations that occurred when she was in elementary school as if she actually remembered things like that. Or take pictures on Twitter with her in Alabama gear.

Yet she's coming to school at LSU, & her mother is an former LSU athlete & alumni.

Same thing as having his friends make comments to guys covering their recruiting visits like, "I think he'll sign with Alabama."

Now you guys are trying to read the tea leaves about why-allegedly all of a sudden-he's so torn he may not make a decision when he's told everyone that he will?

Really guys? How hard is it to figure out that this guy is just playing the game-and all of you-for fools in the process?

He'll end up at LSU at the end of the day.

When did it become 100% for sure she is going to Bama? She could, and possibly is getting one to LSU also.

Anything that comes from the LC situation can be turned positive or negative for LSU

I think LSU has way too much going for them to lose out to Bama

He wants to make sure he knows who his head coach will be. If there are any major changes, it will come mid-january, a few weeks before NSD.
