I was mainly talking about player's ceilings not necessarily the conditioning and weight training they undergo through college.

In the perspective then yea I would say we have a lot more than 30 players

LSU does. They may not have been as SEC-ready as Collins is out of highschool but a year of practice, conditioning, and weight training for your average 4* prospect is far greater than a 5* prospect who is a man among boys in highschool. It's an equalizer. Collins is a phenomenal prospect but he's not like Clowney was.. or Julio Jones.. or Trent Richardson, etc. True freaks vs a great prospect.

There is no way we have 30 kids like Landon. I am not even sure if we have one.
You can't teach a kid 4.4 speed and a 46-47 inch vertical. This kid is a true freak and there is no doubt about it.

Calm down, man. He's a kid. Don't type stuff like that about a 17 year old with a lot of talent and a lot of choices. Not cool. He's a Louisiana boy and I wish him all the best wherever he goes

I agree with this entire statement except this:

quote:

I wish him all the best wherever he goes

It is very true in the state of Louisiana the ol saying "if you are not with us, you are against us" applies.

What makes the situation worse is its CNS and Alabama. It is everything that is wrong in college football vs. what is right and fun in the world.

Do you ever think anyone at that Elitest school has ever said "Let the good times roll". Not a chance in hell, they are too busy living in the past. They have a player that believes that if Bama wins on the 9th that order has been restored in the college football world.

I think that is what makes this situation so much like Mcknights. 6 years ago their was no other college that pissed me off like USCw. Now Bama has taken that roll and they are trying to take one of our own.

In the end, it is only recruiting and we will go on. It's just nicer to go with La. kids if you ask me.

because he seems pretty obsessed with her

What is the basis for this comment? Obsessed?

In the real world, high school age people are often very attached to their girlfriend/boyfriend. A highly regarded football prospect is no more or less likely to have strong feelings for their girlfriend than the average student.

I am amazed at all of the over-analysis regarding this player. He has been pretty quiet during his recruitment and if his girlfriend was not (reportedly/rumored) planning to attend UA, most of this speculation would have no basis at all.

Why can't we just let this guy make his decision in peace? LSU has more talent returning than any team in CFB, and we will have a great recruiting class with or without LC.

All LSU fans hopes he chooses LSU, but nothing anyone posts on this sight will sway his recruitment toward LSU. Unfortunately, some things posted here could push him away from his home state team.

One such thing is to question his feelings for his high school girlfriend.

what? I'm serious. It would be a poor decision for him to go to Alabama now. They offer ZERO that LSU doesn't offer.

Stop making sense! THese guys only want to hear how you worship a kid because he can play anywhere. THey dont want to hear how dumb it is for him to even string us out this long, no matter what his choice.

Come or go, it doesn't matter! Whoever plays at LSU will be the true winner.

And all this horse shite about delaying his decision because of Saban rumors....well, if true, screw the kid. Because that would mean the only reason he would go to Bama is Saban....that menas he couldn't care less about the school. Advise: Dont chase girls OR coaches to college.

Like most everyone else here, I think LC is a terrific athlete and hope he chooses LSU. With family here and so many friends on the roster I also believe that in the end it's in his best interest and he'll ultimately be happier as well. That said, let's face it...this is another LSU banner recruiting year and he's the icing on the cake.

I can guarantee you that he does not have a 46+ inch vertical. I do think he runs a legit 4.4

Craig Loston and Collins are similar to me.

True, but Loston BARELY qualified. He was known to not be the smartest guy, and the reason Reid passed him up was Reid's knowledge of the D. Loston is a better athlete. LC is much brighter by all reports than Loston.

Next year loston will leave complete destruction in his wake.

Honestly, I would love another elite corner or DE.

Either would be just a good a get as Collins IMO. Him being from la does give it more importance though.

Check these stats, very impressive. He is more a freak than loston plus he is a lot smarter than loston too.

That's still a huge amount away from 46+ lol. He's a sick athlete for sure.

I agree with this but the addendum is that once that 5* prospect undergoes the same 1st year college treatment , he might be a shade better than the others (though the difference will be much less than what it was in high school).

The way some play down loston bothers me. I'm sure LC is great but so was Loston coming out of HS.
LC is just the flavor of the week is all and if he goes to bammer good luck. LSU will just get another stud somewhere else.
In other words he needs LSU more than LSU needs him.

I sure hope all the GF rumors of influence are not true. That would be a shame. If she really loves him and he her they will make it work regardless of where he chooses to go to school. . I should know I married my HS sweetheart 15 years ago.

Some of yall are so fricking stupid. Is he better than Eli Manning or Berlin or Mcknight? Because all left the state and watched LSU win a NC. He is a safety and he is not even the best in the country at it. The boy Shaq out in Sacramento look like the reincarnation of Sean Taylor. Landon had 33 tackles in 11 games yet he he is better than Loston. Come back to reality.
