I've never seen such excitement for a 3* recruit here.
Who gives a damn about arbitrary rankings? He's a Fournette, he'll be a valuable member of the program.

I put more stock in his offers than I do ratings.

If Lanard works as hard as his brother, he will see the field while at LSU

Welcome young Mr. Lanard !!
Looking forward to you and Donte returning kicks and juking and out-running defenses on sideline screens, reverses, look-ins, etc !!

He a real athlete and most people here know it..... Stars are for people that don't really know recruiting. Sometimes you miss on 5* guys sometimes you nail the 3* guy and what separates them is work ethic, smarts, and being the athlete needed. He's def a legit Ath. Will put on more size next year and play his Sophmore or RSF year. Will be a very good returner, slot or change of pace back and will probably play at 205/210 and May get even faster.

Seems like from reports I have seen that Lanard has a strong work ethic like Leonard and can adjust to the college game, perhaps after a redshirt season and as Bayou Bengal indicates, could play at 200 plus and even increase his speed. He also can help at more than one position and even provide a solid performance on special teams if needed.
Like the others, I believe this scholarship will be well used.

I can think of two or three 5*s at LSU that were total bust right off hand...and one more that I consider a bust...LSU needs solid football players, not prima donnas!
