Having CC here seemed like it would be easy to pick up QB's. Hopefully we pull Harris.

I'd really like us to offer and strongly push for Isom if Harris is out. at 6'4 220, he definitely has the size and arm strength to be elite. He has great athletic ability for his size but I can see him more as a mobile pocket passer. This guy is definitely a project but with Jennings and Rettig ahead, he can take all the time he needs to get better.

Dawkins tried to commit right after Golson lost his spot. The staff basically told him they couldn't take his commitment until they knew how the board would shake out - at the time, it looked like Kyle Allen was an ND lean.

It seems like a lot of schools view him as the perfect second QB in their class: he's got a very good upside as a developmental prospect, but is lacking enough in polish that he's not going to scare off top-tier recruits. With LSU taking two strong QB prospects last year, they can afford to take a flyer on Dawkins if they miss on their other recruits. He shouldn't be the primary target, though.

RE ND's depth chart: Hendrix technically has another year, but he's unlikely to stay if he doesn't see serious playing time this year. He's going to graduate with a pre-med degree after the season and intends to go to med school. Golson is supposedly coming back, but Res Life has extremely strict standards, so no one's counting on that. Assuming neither one makes it back, Zaire (and now Kizer) will be the only QB on scholarship going into 2014, and JUCOs typically don't meet ND's admissions criteria. I wouldn't be surprised to see ND continue to recruit Dawkins even with Kizer in the fold (word from ND's recruiting reporters, though, is that only Park and Cornwell remain on the board, so they may feel better about Golson or worse about Dawkins than the consensus).

Nothing but message board but I don't think Bama is a Player for Harris at all. rumor is Park or Cornwell is who we are looking at and then if we strike out on those two possibly Town for 2015. Again that is from the bama recruiting board.

that sucks, i thought we had him in the bag after jrevonte's rumbling a couple weeks ago. now its harris hopefully. if not, i like isom, just to sign one. jennings looks to be a stud but rettig not so much so i think we need to take one.

Jennings is showing early that he has the tools....but I wouldn't count Rettig out yet either...don't forget he would have been graduating from high school last month...the kid hasn't even started Summer practices yet...not trying to attack you or anything but don't write him off so soon...I think between the both of them, we would be fine if we didn't take a QB in this class for whatever reason

His visit is canceled:
“I was thinking of going to LSU this Friday,” Kizer said, “but after going to Notre Dame we figured that a trip to LSU would be nothing but pointless time, because we all looked at each other after that visit and said that there’s no better place in the nation that we could possibly be."

That's nice. QB is not even an issue in this class.

It's an issue in every class.

Good news is, the number one guy on our board is right in our backyard. Lets go get him

Interesting that ND has taken the top duel threat QB out of Ohio the last two classes.

Where you at Urbz?

Well, last year he was getting arguably the top duel threat QB out of Texas.

yeah, and the ND offer is non committable. Not even sure NC state or Utah would let dawkins commit. His performances at camp this summer have not been impressive either

rumors:
BK wants Zaire to redshirt.
Hendrix had an amazing Spring and will get considerable PT this year, so BK expects he will be back for a 5th year
Golson is 100% coming back next year

source is some respectable poster on ISD who went golfing with BK last week, tifwiw.
