no he wouldn't.

If you were limited on schollies you don't think he does this? give me a freaking break.

This is just an unfortunate situation. If we had all of our scholarships he would still be coming here. I really wanted him, he would have been the big power back we need. Wherever he ends up I wish him nothing but the best

FWIW I think York ends up at washington

Thats what im saying. You think we are offering Bourque this year if we have that small # of schollys available and he hurts his knee? No way. That doesnt make Miles a dick it just means hes doing whats best for his team and that doesnt make Kiffin a dick either.

People just have this preconceived notion that Kiffin is an A Hole and so they see that he didnt keep this guy scholly and freak out.

while kiffin is a douche, I don't think you can hold it against him if he has to tighten the scholarship belt for the next few years. That's on Carroll.

He should have thought about that before he signed 30 kids last year, knowing damn well the NCAA was probably going to sanction them. It was like slapping the NCAA in the face and challenging them.

Kiffin victim #2 is Jaydon Mickens. They just stopped calling him all together. He looks to be down to UW and Oregon but I don't know how many 5'9" 165 pounders we can have on a roster.

We're probably going to land York. He's planning on signing on the 21st, so we'll find out soon. I would love him though. They really want Mickens too, but he just doesn't excite me.

York would be a fool not to go to UW. All they have to say is Polk is leaving, look at what he did here, and we need a bruiser - all the backups are scatback types from what I can remember, correct me if I am wrong.

There is a major rumor swirling on duck boards of a BIG silent commit that will come at the expense of kiffin.

The rumor mill started churning big time when the big DT (Faith) from Illinois said that Oregon turned him away because we were full. We only have one prospect in Balducci, so it must be a DT.

Polk told him on his visit that he's leaving and that he can come in and start right away.

I think he is pretty solid to USC. I think it's a prospect looking at USC/Oregon and the moderators are being tight lipped about it. That is an interesting choice because he played with Bryan Bennett our backup qb.

Oregon needs one more DL that is a big body, so that is the hope.

The DT that committed to IOWA (Faith is his first name) blogged that his trip to Oregon was canceled because we are now full. Balducci is our only DT prospect and he has been on the board since spring . It must be a DT prospect.

nope miles has taken players that had serious injuries and honored their scholarship. delvin breaux(1 of 2 corners taken and his offered stayed even though we knew he would never play football), jordan hammond(the only te taken in the class), and this year trey granier. so, don't lump miles in the same sentence as kiffin when it comes to this. and miles would not have offered york limited schollies or not.

I think it's naive to think a coach wouldn't bail on a kid with schollie limitations that kiffin is facing. I think it's douchie though to not call them back and let them know. Both Mickens and York didn't get calls from the Trojan staff. Man up and call the kids back, so they can make a good decision for themselves.

Ellis McCarthy then. I've always just assumed he's going to Oregon.

its a lot easier to take on an injury risk guy when you have 30 more schollies over the next three years to play with than Kiffin does.

That is what people are assuming. I just refuse to believe that we are in on the 2nd best DT in the country. It could be Armstead but he seems all CAL (I like him because he's going to early enroll and has the athleticism to play basketball at D1). Aaron Curry out of Texas would be the darkhorse. He was very high on Oregon and just recently said he got the offer. However, there is no news of him visiting or getting an in home.

His top 2 are USC and Oregon so I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up at Oregon. I still think he ends up at SC when its all said and done thou.

I would have expected it to be Armstead because he is NorCal. I would feel much safer if it were him since he wants to EE. That way I wouldn't be biting my nails until NSD. However, Armstead appears all CAL.

That's what I'm hearing as well. Cal apparently had a great weekend in terms of verbals.
