Bottomline: If we don't land Jones this year we will still have a corps of LBs and LB prospects that rate towards the bottom half of the SEC IMO
..but, hey, we have shown we can win with those types... it's not like LSU has ever had a good and complete LB corps like UGA, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Bama, Auburn, etc.
we can still win with average LB play, BUT we need the DB and DL play to step back up like it once was, especially the DL

Nothing wrong with the Ga linebackers we have or with young Minter. In retrospect the linebacking corps probably produced closer to their potential than either the D-line or secondary this past year, especially considering the injury problems of DB. Having seen Minter perform I will say that he won't redshirt and may see the field more than Ryan Baker as a true freshman due to his physical ability. Still has a lot to learn but he's got a pretty good motor and is a sound tackler. Should be in the six-man rotation.

From what i have read on Chavis he is all about having speed at the LB position. How do yall think our current guys are going to fit into that system?
