we fans have been stuck in this mentality that LSU MUST get the best players from Louisiana in order to compete with the likes of alabama and Clemson and for NC's, that isn't the case anymore. With O taking recruiting nationwide he is going to get and is getting top players from other states. It's a new tactic but a needed one. Yes, we would all love for the best players in Louisiana go to LSU, but if they want to go elsewhere then so do we. Look what happened last season. LSU loses Sopsher and gets Ika, and that was a much better deal for LSU. We have to change our perception. Just because these Louisiana players don't go to LSU doesn't mean LSU can't go out of state and get great players. It's the new thing and O is doing a pretty damn good job of it. The only negative nationally is the fact LSU has not beat bama in years and has not competed for NC's. Once that changes then they will have even more success with recruiting nationally.

I don't know why people get so bent out of shape. Ed is showing everyone right now that he can go wherever he wants and get talent. Once that's established the Saban picking recruits out of Louisiana just to spite LSU will be a thing of the past.

Just thought I would let everyone know that he was in Tuscaloosa yesterday and will be in BR today. If you already knew, cool.

Exactly. And it is already trending in that direction. Eric Taylor is proof of that.

The obsession with these two kids is hilarious. These are KIDS. They are not irreplaceable.
