How many in the top 20 have the same academic standards as Norte Dame? There’s a reason those schools do not get Leonard Fournette’s and Trent Richardson’s…

Acceptance rate isn’t relevant for scholarship athletes. Average of 4.0 GPA to attend for a regular student. A 2.5 as a 5 star gets in to Notre dame. NCAA D1 requirements for an athlete are 2.3.
The difference is all the kids who can’t even make a 2.3 GPA that get a pass from the schools like Alabama, LSU, etc.

This thread is laughable. You don’t become the 3rd winningest active college football coach without being able to recruit.
And he’s about to become even better at it.

His CURRENT class is ranked #3...
Yeah he's doing "fairly well".

Hamilton is going to the NFL. Would be a huge pick up, but he’s going to be a first round pick.

You use those class rankings as an argument against Brian Kelly but I'm going to use those rankings as an argument for Brian Kelly. Since he became ND HC back in 2010, Kelly has finished with the #12 ranked class on average. That's really good all things considered.
So now we're talking about an established HC who can recruit and also knows the Xs and Os of the game. What will LSU look like with an honest to god head football coach instead of a cartoon character?
