Is he waiting to see where Williams goes? Seems if Texas gets Williams, they lose Phillips.

Are you thinking of Jhase Thomas? I'm seeing Anding listed as getting his first offer in June, 2023 - which would've been before he'd ever even played the sport. TBF, I don't see anything on maxpreps before last year so maybe the 247 entry is wrong.
Edit: Spiegelman has a post on On3 that confirms that Anding "stopped playing football in middle school before returning in the spring ahead of his junior season" - so you're right. I didn't know that, and it honestly makes me want Anding even more. I am super high on Jhase Thomas for that exact same reason; those are guys who could fly up rankings with strong senior seasons

They do play different positions but Texas wants Phillips to play both positions and He wants to play corner. That’s why the flip to LSU is a possibility. Raymond keeps telling him he wants him strictly at corner.

Williams is a safety almost linebacker. Phillips is a CB
