My UGA friends say he's a silent to UGA. Who knows?

I think this is true. He visited there last weekend and then got a lot of CBs for Georgia.

yeah, Kirby is really building something, I think. p&g glasses aside, I think it makes more sense for him to sign with us, but distance and parents may win out. the numbers here are in his favor big time. I really don't know that fromm gets unseated. how can you even pull him for eason at this point? f'ing up team trust and leadership is a trip to disaster.

Exactly, come to LSU and RS for 1 yr to learn the system. Then follow MB and make an impact. At UGA he is stuck behind Fromm (for 2-3 yrs) who sure doesn't look like he is going anywhere soon...

IRT UGA recruiting, they are knocking it out of the park over the last 2 yrs. No doubt the class of the SEC E.

yep. Kirby has them recruiting on another level. definitely a step up from richt. ive lived here since '83. uga was smart and pulled the trigger with little warning in 2015. that had their guy already wrapped up. I guarantee the ad had all but secured smart after their debacle against fla that year. im sure phone calls had already been made and a gentlemen's agreement in place. THATS how you conduct a coaching replacement. it was quiet and swift. lsu stepped on their dicks and bowed to outside pressure. richt's tenure had gotten very stale here just like miles. the richt lovers have pretty much moved on.

Much easier to supplant a backup than a proven starter.

Ok but the scenario that poster laid out involved Fields redshirting and waiting his turn behind Brennan.

Just not sure how that's an advantage for us, especially when Brennan could easily wrestle the job away from Etling in the next couple months. Fromm has only been a "proven starter" for two weeks.

Jake Fromm is a very good quarterback but he is only the starting quarterback because Eason is hurt. Brennan is competing head to head with a 5th year starting quarterback and is earning real play time on his own merit. If the roles were reversed Brennan would be starting for Georgia and Fromm would be the back up quarterback at LSU.

Whatever. Fromm is the starter and it is going to stay that way.

Brady was only a starter because Bledsoe got injured.

Two biggest boosters are liquor distributors. Our AD is a puppet. Richt knew after Missouri game he was finished.

Right. We were always a long shot. That doesn't mean his visit didn't go well.

You get no credit.

This thread literally started with a quote that he was down to LSU and UGA.

Still waiting on all those links to him raving about the trip!
