Apparently, he had an offer from USC in his freshman year.
quote:

"It was real hard to focus," Baxter said after the game. "I took it pretty bad (Friday). I mean it's been my whole dream to play there and that's why I committed my freshman year and ended out the whole recruiting process. I wanted to go live out my whole dream. Now I am wide open. I'll talk to any college. I honestly don't know what to say right now, but I'm wide open."

Baxter and Prater both say they are wide open now and both say they are talking with Florida. If Florida ends up with Baxter and Prater, I mean...c'mon! Seriously?! This is getting ridiculous.

Well maybe it changed but the USC article on Prater didn't list Florida. Said Oklahoma, ND, Ill, USC.

Feel bad for those guys. Keep Prater out of the SEC. He's going to be tough to handle. We should try to talk Baxter into Oregon if you catch my drift.

Baxter is beyond sick. Looks mature beyond his years. No matter where he goes, will impact immediately.

Now that's a good Idea

Kill two birds with one stone.

Damn, that's crazy. I could be wrong, but I think Perrilloux was close to that his senior year, maybe 65-70 or something like that.

Watch Baxter's film. Incredible. He could play WR or RB and start from day one...pretty much anywhere.

I agree. I haven't seen film that impressive since...Russell Shepard.

Somehow I feel we will see more of Baxter next year than we saw of Shep this year.

Baxter is very good but I still don't put him ahead of Keenan Allen as the top athlete in this class.

I'll bet Baxter ends up at SC if they hire a competent coach. He still has love for the school.

It amazes me that Florida are potentially going to clean up USCs recruits because of a coaching uncertainity

Meyer has been putting in big time work in Southern California this year. Also, California kids seem to have much less loyal to local schools than are kids across the country. You see tons of California recruits go out of state, even under normal circumstances, so it doesn't really surprise me UF is cleaning up like they are

If Meyer decides not to return, or leave in a year. How do you think those recruits would feel?

If I remember correctly you can get out of a signed LOI if the HC leaves or is fired from the University.
