Really hope he flips not so much that he's a 5 star recruit at a huge position of need but more so bc I've been talking an obnoxious amount of shite to OU fans on twitter for the past 2 weeks that he's def flipping.

As much as that is possible, I agree. His family may be MSU fans (and I'm only assuming this because of geography and the murmurings he was content to go to State and "grind" it out for 3 to 4 years), but he has entertained Ole Miss as well. So, how "State" can he be? I don't know if he has a committable offer to Michigan or not - but if he was going to go far, I think we would know about it.
Honestly, I think LSU is one of his "dream" schools - great defensive reputation, relatively close to home, and obviously that reported conversation he initiated with someone from the services when Rice decommitted - I'll be shocked if we don't close the deal with him. And I think he's instrumental in getting Phillips leaning back our way.
I like us 90% (or better) for Gay and a slight lead with Phillips (call it 51%) - if I was a betting man.

Well according to the OU insider LSU wasn't mentioned on his in home last night with all the OU coaches............But yea, he and his parents will be at LSU this weekend on their own dime........y'all fill in the friggin blanks.....

I was mainly talking about the plane ticket comment but okay I gotcha. I think they'll be in Baton Rouge as well. Just seemed like you were super close to the situation with that comment so I wanted to get some more info out of you. Not questioning you at all

Gay isn't committed but talks very highly about LSU and it's been confirmed that he was telling Phillips that they would kill it at LSU together. Or something along those lines lol.

Who knows, but what was reported was something to the effect of:
"Did LSU have a linebacker decommit today? Tell 'em Willie Gay is on the way. And I'm bringing help."
The implication that the "help" was his buddy Jacob Phillips.
Now - do I "know" what happened? No. That's just what was posted a couple of weeks back.
