Georgia just landed 2024 QB Ryan Puglisi which should put us in front seat for Sayin!

Is he still planning on announcing this month?

Pretty sure he penciled in an official visit to Bama next weekend, then will announce shortly after.

I think I read he pushed it back to November.

UGA has no trouble getting multiple QBs in same class. I wouldn't say they are out of it

I'll be shocked if Vandergriff and/or Stockton doesn't transfer with Beck being the sole backup to Bennett.

Depending on how Kirby feels he might also be QB shopping on the portal.

I don’t think we’ve got multiple qbs in a season since Kirby has been here. Sayin is all LSU.

UGA

Dont know anything about the kid but suprised to see Georgia take a kid at QB that is rated as low as he is. Id imagine Georgia could almost pick any QB they wanted out of the top 5 and have a shot at landing him. Georgia always has a good QB so the staff must see something they really like in him.

I said that almost verbatim but apparently that dude is being looked at by Alabama, Penn State, and others. Gaining traction, likely shoot up the rankings

They dropped the ball with Raiola. Pugs was offered within 10 minutes of a workout at Bama and UGA so he must have the stuff needed.

Does he have any relationship with UCLA or USC? Feel like you can't count those out for the Cali kid.

No one should be taking recruiting rankings (especially at QB) for 2024s right now as gospel. These kids are currently rated where they are based on promotion. Some will meet expectations, some won't. And some are VASTLY underrated.

Even in the senior class, the ratings are sketch. Florida has a supposed 4 star, top 15 QB committed who has thrown more interceptions than TDs and is completing barely over 50% of his passes. Yet that kid was in the "Elite 11."

I'd trust Kirby Smart and his coaches in their evaluations over those goofballs at 247 who get sold on certain kids way early in the process. The Georgia kid is likely lower rated because he plays in Connecticut.

Great about Sayin.

Bennett and Mathis were same season
Beck, Newman (doesn't really count), Kirksey were same season

Bennett came back to UGA and was only offered because Fields transferred Mathis was a late flip project.

Beck was out of high school. Newman was in the portal. Kirksey was a portal walkon. Only Beck was highly rated.

I wasn't talking about ratings I was talking about taking more than 1 QB in a class which Kirby has done.

Cool, we’ve never taken two qbs from high school in the same year. Let alone two highly rated ones. We like to take one a year.

Edit: we’re out of the Sayin race.
