Makes me wonder if, moscone's absolutely ridiculous hot takes be damn, we are not on our way towards temporarily becoming more of a basketball school
LSU has always been a basketball school when there is a winning team to cheer for.
Is it a basketball first school? No. Football will always be king; but it doesn’t meant that other programs can’t coexist and be supported. Baseball is a prime example. But I’ve spent many a seasons since I was a kid in which the PMAC was full and loud. I think Covid has just thrown things out of whack a bit for Wade, which sucks. It has been hard to build momentum when you have the tournament canceled the year right after making a Sweet 16 appearance and then follow that up with a weird season of canceled games and limited fan seating. Hopefully this years team can get in a roll and stack some wins and big games to really get the fan base behind them.

Many people don't know that LSU is second only to Kentucky in SEC championships. The only other SEC program except Kentucky which has exceeded them in one sense is Florida with two national tiles under Billy Donovan and Arkansas with one title under Nolan Richardson.
LSU could have the best five man team in NCAA history with Pistol Pete, Shaq, Petit, Mahmoud Rauf and Macklin. The last big hurdle is to win it all.
