Josh Pate on Brian Kelly, LSU and their DLine situation.

I'm no huge fan of Pac-12 Pate, but I think he really puts the entire situation in perspective.

You are delusional if you think Pate is pro PAC-12. He lives in Georgia and made his big viewership jump during the 2019 LSU championship. He has all over the Tigers and has always been pro LSU.

Do you actually watch his show ? Because if you have with any regularity you'd get the joke. And actually, I am a pretty big fan of his.
He had some obvious Saban bias, but who didn't, and he still really dick rides Kirby, but again, who doesn't.
He shows LSU a lot of love and was one of the first to come to Kelly's defense when the rest of the media was trying to make a laughing stock of Kelly with the dancing video and fake southern accent.
He also believes Kelly will win at least one championship while at LSU, whereas I believe he will win multiple. Thats about the only thing we disagree on.
Nevertheless, he hits the nail on the head with his take here as well, and seems to describe a portion of our own fanbase when it comes to Kelly, in that apparently some people just dont like him and will bash him at any opportunity,

Great take by Pate - exactly how I felt Coach Kelly meant what he said. We’ll definitely pay players, but not getting into bidding wars for guys who don’t deserve the payout over other guys already on the roster

For a time, he didn't subscribe to the idea that every team in the Pac-12 was trash, so of course that meant he was a lover of the conference, and when a commenter called him that, he continued to use it in a tongue in cheek manner.

Me too, I thinks he’s great though he tries so hard to be hip, it shows. If you’ve got it you’ve got. He’s very informed and very smart BUT always leaves himself an Out on every subject or prediction, he uses his outs constantly.
I think he’s great at what he does. He is not a PAC12 dude, he’s a SEC guy but has to appeal to the masses.
