On another note, I heard Shelvin is down to 342 lbs. That is within 7 lbs of where the coaches would like him to be.
That is some damn good news. Shelvin can be a real force at 335, which will allow Fehoko to go back to DE along with Lawrence.

Evans is not 6-3. Looks closer to 6-1.
I think some on here are over estimating his ability level.
Has a long way to go.

He was 6’1 as a sophomore in high school. He’s a legit 6’2 now. Lewis Neal played DE for us at 6’0 and was solid. I think Evans will surprise you. He doesn’t have to lose any bad weight like a lot of DL coming out of high school and what he lacks in technique he will make up for with a strong work ethic. Give him a redshirt year to get bigger and stronger and he’s going to surprise people.

Sounds a lot like a current LSU DE by the name of Lawrence. Pretty excited to see him develop

He'd have been a four star if he played at a larger school.

I don’t think he’s like Lawrence. When I looked at Lawrence’s high school highlights I saw a guy whose natural stance was exactly what LSU would want. His pad level from snap to contact was perfect, he was strong and agile, and he had a non-stop motor. That guy was ready for the SEC when he was a high school senior.
Evans akso has a great motor, but he looks like he is at least a year away. I’d compare him to Farrell, who is developing nicely.
