Oh no, you stated that's what McKnight said and that's what was in the book "Meat Market".
You are incorrect again. Go read what I wrote.

I don't think every person who chimed in or voiced their thoughts merely "suggested" he go to LSU. I think there was a miniroty who went over the top and it woudl not suprise me if there were veiled threats. Most high profile recruits shrug that stuff off. It what was written was true, Joe did not.

I hope he leaves Louisiana, and takes that SOB John Curtis with him.
Well that aint happening (JT aint leaving) so LSU would be better served by taking the upper road. Curtis does prodce good fotball players. Can LSU live without Curtis recruits? Absolutley. Do we want to chase them to USC and BAMA? Hell no.

I would handle it the complete opposite way ..I would recruit him and encourage him to visit and camp at LSU and play it cool with the kid
we don't have to produce and offer in the end, but I think Miles and LSU would be doing a favor for the program by being the bigger people here and showing this kid some love... won't hurt for other Curtis kids that we really want in the future
the truth is there is some tension between LSU and Curtis and the reality is that they recruit some of the best talent from the best talent pool (New Orleans) in the state and develop them to play at a high level.. having a good rapport with Curtis is what LSU needs to move into the future IMO
they produce players ...let's not give Saban the upper hand at one of our most critical state high schools in one of our biggest recruiting regions of the state.. we don't need kids getting pushed to Tuscaloosa
I totally agree. Take the high road, if they leave, Les didn't push them out.

What about these other things that you wrote?
quote:
From what I've heard and read LSU was certainly in the running starting early on until about December. The longer the recruiting process lasted, the more comments from LSU fans wore thin on him. He reportedly was inceasingly turned off by the comments that he should go to LSU.
Then you went on to site the book meat market.
Then there was this gem:
quote:
Bottom line is: Overzealous nut jobs fans in his home state played a part in Joe not going to LSU. We are not talking abot message boards or the internet.
Then more telling us to read Meat Market.

That is correct. You asked for a source and I gave it. Someone else also provided a source stating that Joe was turned off. You can continue to be naive and believe that mere 'polite suggestions' turned him off and that there were no overezealous coments from fans on the fringe.
