I think this year our best finish would be Thomas, Hilton, Earle, Smith, and Nabers. I hope we can fit Coleman in, as I think we need to take more than one big-bodied receiver.

I would love this finish as well. Sucks to have to turn away any of the in-state guys but Nabers is my favorite if having to pick between him, Coleman, and Pazon.

I have a hard time understanding how size can be an issue for a slot receiver

He's really good. Saw him play on tv in the Texas state title game. Earle was making plays all night.

The last play on his Junior highlight tape (on hudl) is awesome.

Spoiler Alert: Playing CB on the final play of the State Championship game, he breaks up a pass to a WR running a slant route in to the endzone that wins them the game.

Everyone storms the field in hysteria. Love it.

Nothing like passionate high school football.

Jalen Waddle is 5’10 180 and Devonta Smith is 6’1 180 . Wtf are y’all talking about? He’s a wideout not a damn linebacker.

sub-11 second 100m and reports a 4.36 40-yard dash and 36-inch vertical.

So he’s probably around the 4.45 range

Probably so. The 36 vert is really impressive though, and it shows with his cutting ability.

I wish we took kids like this more often. They dont project as high ceiling / feature players in the NFL as much because of their size, but in college they have so much value in the return game etc.

This kid plays physical and doesn't look hesitant at all for his size and game. He'll stick his nose in there to get a first down or TD.

Likely a slot player obviously and will need to adapt to the press / physical play of the SEC, but you can tell he's a natural catcher of the ball and many slots are not. No doubt he's a future punt returner. A lot to like here

Yes, he has kept it very close to his chest and it has been Tcu for a while now. Recently it had changed with Bryan Allen Jr. Now he will be a tiger unless a drastic change.

Man, this guy is fast as hell. He is frickin dangerous with the ball in his hands. Big time get by our staff and another huge weapon for our offense...if we end up signing him. He will be a stud slot receiver and kick/punt returner.

Anyone that is questioning him bc of his size is just ignorant. He's going to be a slot receiver for us. Most slot receivers aren't tall guys...they don't have to be. They don't play on the outside and don't have to go up for jump balls and stuff like the number 1 and 2 wrs do. You're not going to see him running a fade route against a 6'2" cb and have to be physical to go up and get it. He will run the screens, slants, crossing routes, jet sweeps, reverses and shite like that...short to intermediate routes. He's plenty big enough to be effective in the slot. I don't get what some people don't understand about size at the slot position. He's going to be just fine. Darren sproles was one of the best slot backs in nfl history and he is short as hell. There are plenty of successful slots that are shorter than Earle is.

You see some but not many smaller-made 5'9 type WRs, and there's definitely a draft ceiling. Jeff Fisher taking Austin in the 1st Round was one of the reasons he eventually lost his job

The main point is that most are supporting pieces - like Sanders, Cobb, etc. Not lead acts

Kid looks great!! Their quarterback shows some pretty good traits as well! Accuracy, movement in the pocket and throwing on the run. Reminds me a little of Joe!
