Does Emery second guess his commitment to UGA with Zamir White out for the season with a torn ACL and having to take a redshirt year. I feel like he’d be scrounging for PT next year

He’ll be scrounging for playing time no matter what. They signed Zamir last year #1 Back, and James Cook whose was #3 back. Not to mention, Swift whose going to tear it up, and Holyfield is still there. He’ll be fighting for playing time at least till he’s a junior. If he comes to LSU, he can start Day 1. Sounds like an easy choice to me.

Emery will likely not sit the bench at Georgia, rather he will burn his scholarship getting 5 carries a game.

He would get carries, but nothing serious. You’re right he would be getting a very low amount. If he comes to LSU, give him 20-25 touches a game as freshman. He’s explosive, I want him.

Go there because they might compete for a final 4 spot and a Natty but then realize wtf! I hate riding the pine!!

He was sold on the fact that they're the popular flavor right now.

Yup. I think you’re right. It was a spur of the moment thing, and it was fresh on his mind. He probably just liked Athens a lot and had all these other 5 stars in his ear. If I’m the staff I’m just making sure we pitch the angle of a 1 hour ride to his home instead of an 8 hour one. Hopefully we get him on campus more than Georgia does this season which should happen.

I'm not understanding why this would be a negative in John's eyes... don't u think he's (on the inside only) glad 1 of them are gone, furthering his chances of getting more carries. I think this actually solidified it with John. He's UGA bound. And I fricking hate it. We NEED him in BR.
Next year, one of those RB's transfers. Book it.

I thinks he is referring to Zamir White tearing his ACL

Zamir...

Also. Next year, I think one of the RBs leaves anyway, someone has to get unhappy. Esp after they don't have the magical season (this yr), they just experienced (last yr).

He won't get much at all his freshman year over there I agree, but no way in hell does he get 20-25 touches a game as a freshman here either. With Davis coming in the same year and Helaire making his mark this year and Curry providing a bruising power back option, he won't come close to those touches.

He’s not getting 20-25 touches wherever he goes, including state when they were feeding him that BS. That’s not the college game anymore unless you’re built like a LF, Derrick Henry, or saquon to take that punishment.

Why would he second guess based on the injury? Wouldn't he move that much closer to playing time?

emery probably believes he can be the number one back at Georgia. He has the talent that is for sure.

Because Zamir White would essentially be in his class after redshirting this season, and he was the #1 RB in the 2018 class.
