He may feel that way now but he obviously didn’t in 2022 when he committed to State, which happened several months after Jay had been in BR
So, if this kid was a self-described LSU super fan and attended most games since he was a young kid and called playing at LSU his dream — then why was he first committed to move away from home and go to backwoods Starkvegas?

CJJ is twice the recruiter Mainieri was as evidenced by the fact we will have 2x LHP on this roster than CPM had. Maybe even 3x.

He wasn’t a top prospect when Paul was at LSU
He has two interviews on 104.5, search and listen.
Kid’s dream was to play at LSU. Go get an elite pitcher from California and make him turn down $3M, then I’ll be more impressed with Jay than the LSU Baseball brand
