He is factor but not a major factor. His best buddy Harris is however.Harris is down to Kansas and State ,so that is what favors State for Jason the last couple of weeks. They are adamant about going to the same school.

Harris really answered alot of questions this year with me .He had a really big senior year.

Regardless of his situation we are still pushing hard:

Adding more intrigue, LSU wide receivers coach and New Orleans-area recruiter Mickey Joseph will be at Landry-Walker (La.) High School on Monday morning to check in on the 4-star wide receiver, a source told SEC Country.
Coach Ed Orgeron is planning to go in-home with Jason and his family before Dec. 20 as LSU makes one last push to keep the elite wide receiver in-state.

You do know there is a difference in a kid taking his time in the recruiting process and playing games right?

Guice, Key, White, Lawrence, Jackson are just some of the key members of this year's team that "played games" or we had to wait on.

I don’t think a single one of these guys were committed to another school before us and I am pretty sure guice was committed well before the all American game. They were all heavily pursued by other big programs. I don’t really see that as playing games. It’s a big decision.

Sp our position coach and head coach are doing last minute home visits to this kid and now it all's over this board that we don't want him? Why are the coaches making a last minute push if he isn't a take. He is the second highest rated player in the entire state. And we don't need or want him! Got it!

"Playing games" is relative to if you get the guy or think you're getting the guy.

Key was.

I am pretty sure guice was committed well before the all American game.

Guice tweeted, “I’ve decided to reopen my recruitment again!! Now who shall get my five official visits.”

Is that not playing games? How dumb would it have been to tell him get on or get left at that point?

Jackson, Lawrence, and White are all examples of how telling guys get on board or lose your spot would not be smart. With Alabama and likely soon A&M coming in, we are going to be fighting like bulldogs to the end for a lot of local guys. Putting our own deadline on kids besides NSD would backfire.

Key was committed to South Carolina 2 or 3 different times before O got a hold of him, but he isn't from Louisiana. The other kids are in state and never committed to anyone else prior to LSU.

I liked that kid from Ga., thought he was a little undersized, but he played hard and made plays. That being said, if the trade-off of losing him is getting Livingston, I agree with the move completely. Dominic is a monster!

If y'all make a ban bet over the whims of a 17 year old child....then seriously you need to reevaluate your life. Maybe get some counseling for gambling addiction...

He hasn't gone public and he is not taking any visits. He gave his commit to State when they visited him a few days ago. This is fact and he has not heard much from us in a month.

So you're telling us all that he gave his commit to Miss. State who just lost their coach and has no real direction for their program at all. Instead of going to LSU where it's a common known fact that the wide receiver position is possibly the most open position group on the whole team headed into next year. A group that literally has two guys who are both leaving that were the only bona fide starters that saw the field 90 percent of the snaps as it is.....if you are an elite wideout and don't consider the fact that you could come in and start from day one and that being a very real possibility then you are not very smart and I wouldn't want you on the team anyway....double that if you then chose miss state to go to....when they just lost the only reason they've been any good...Dan Mullen...

The funniest part of this post is that he gave his commit in secret??? As if the staff wouldn't want to be very public about getting such an elite caliber prospect.....also there is no such thing as a "secret commitment" if the player doesn't want to announce that they are in the class, and not even as a soft commit which gives them the ability to back out somewhat easliy....then plain and simple they are not committed to anything at all. Your spreading literal fake news.. you are that guy...guy.

Suprised me a little. Don't know if even the coaches have a plan at wr, unless their plan is to take as many as possible. Not really getting it. Maybe they know they are gonna miss on someone. All I know is that we don't need so many in the class.

“Mickey has been talking to me mostly about the pro-style offense and getting me ready for the NFL and this and that,” Jason said. “He texts me every day, every chance he gets just to see how I’m doing and where LSU is on my list. All I can tell him is Dec. 20.”

Additionally, Jason will make the decision alongside Harris, his teammate and best friend.

Harris, a 4-star cornerback, remains verbally committed to Kansas and will choose from the Jayhawks and Mississippi State next Wednesday. LSU is not a finalist for Harris, who was once committed to the Tigers, but Jason will not let his teammate’s decision impact his.

“I wouldn’t say that it matters much,” the 4-star receiver stated. “We want to go to school together, but we’ve been together for so long already. If LSU’s my choice, then it’s my future I need to worry about at the end of the day.”

Sounds like the buddy thing is wavering.
quote:

Mississippi State will go in-home with Jason on Thursday. Newly minted Florida coach Dan Mullen, who recruited Jason at Mississippi State the past few years, will do the same. LSU wide receivers coach and New Orleans-area recruiter Mickey Joseph will be at Landry-Walker High School on Friday and could go in-home alongside coach Ed Orgeron later that evening.
