There is VERY LITTLE difference between a 4 and 5 star 17 year old.

Shows you don’t know shite about recruiting. Also Jarrett and Burton had nothing to do with processing.

So you’re bitching because we cleared the deck for Webb, Dumervil, and Guillory? Kick rocks

I’ll never understand the logic in refusing a 4atar DL. Esp one from Louisiana.

Hopefully Frank Wilson comes home and replaces Robinson as RC. Not that he wasn’t lied to in his time here, even by his cousin, but he may be able to stop the processing of 4 star in state kids.
It used to be a cardinal rule that once you offer a kid in state you couldn’t pull it because of the optics.

The more national you get, the more you get burned by people staying home. That’s just part of it.

What are you smoking?
Where is Joe Burrow?
Where is King?
Where is Dumervil?
Where was Waters?
Williams?
Days?
You get what you need from where ever you find them.

But you don’t process 4* in-state guys who want to be Tigers in hopes of getting 5* out-of-State question marks.

Three things..

1. We picked up two new 4-star commits today (Dumervil and Webb) and there are still several highly rated guys on the table that are in play. The main reason it looks like we whiffed on the numbers is because we lost Burton and Jarrett. But they weren’t “question marks” - they were LSU commits!

2. Everyone is acting like we told them to kick rocks. You don’t think the staff would have preferred to make a final decision once the other chips started falling? It seems unlikely to me that we told these guys “you’re not going to be a tiger”. Much more likely that we told them the numbers might get tight so that they would have a backup plan. In my opinion, that’s the right thing to do. Which leads into..

3. Do you think it would have been better to string them along and then pull their offers on ESD if we got Burch and kept the WRs? Because that’s way worse. Or do you think we should have passed on Webb, Dumervil, or Burch to keep them?

In my opinion, the staff’s failure wasn’t making room for Webb, Dumervil, and Evans/Burch/whoever - their failure was losing Burton and Jarrett.

They are both solid players but LSU will not miss a beat without either of them.

LSU can find transfers capable of making bigger impacts if they have open slots after Feb.
