You don't go to ULM if literally anyone else will take you. Not trying to take a dig at ULM, but it's not a destination for anyone except for those trying desperately to prolong their athletic career.

With the help we need at DT, why wouldn't we take the risk?
I get not wanting character issues but if the issue is injuries, I think we should have offered. Worst case scenario, he gets hurt and you're back at square 1. Best case scenario, he turns into a star.

Nobody realizes that this isn’t last year where we had tons of spots to fill. We have a full team now. We don’t have 40 spots to fill with just anybody.

This makes me think it isn't injuries and its either grades or character concerns. I find it really hard to believe that not a single P5 school was willing to take an injury risk on a kid ranked that high out of JUCO.
Hell, a top tier G5 team would have definitely risked it for an SEC caliber DT if it was only injuries.
