Different category than Golden as Golden has forgone the opportunity to receive an offer from either LSU or Texas by not going to their respective Jr. Days.
Wilson wanted an LSU offer and likely still does.

I have a question. does everyone on here think that LSU just forgot about Wilson and didnt offer him. Maybe LSU watched his film evaluated him at jr day and decided he wasnt as advertised. you guys dont know if this kid got his tail kicked out at jr day or what. kid could be one of those rare high star flops and our coaches recognized it and stayed away. anyway stop sweating this kid and stop banging on our coaches. Miles does an amazing job as coach and frankly I dont think anyone could do better. out team is stacked next season about to be preseason #1 and all you idiots can do is whine about some highschool tackle that none of you know is any good or not. Thanks for reporting the commitment so we know but just move on guys!!!

Also, he's in texas now. A&M got several Texas kids with LSU offers in 2012.
Not every kid is naive enough to just jump on board with a program because of it's current luster, either. Surely you know that.
I wouldn't equate A&M with a program that can't conceivably land kid's with top ten offers. It happens regularly.
