Thanks Lynx, but you said:

Christine Michael will probably never have a committable offer

So why go through all of that, or does he not know that he will probably never have a committable offer?

Wow...I can't believe I typed that. I need to proofread before submitting next time.

I honestly cannot say anymore even if you do guess. I told my source that I would not reveal any names. The last thing I want to do is lose trust in the people that throw information my way...

At this point it does not look like he will get a CO. However, I do not know the last time the LSU coaches saw CM play. Every indication makes it sound like he has drastically improved over the last year. If the LSU coaches can see him in person he very well could earn a CO, but at this point, other guys are higher on the board (TR is at the top. I dont know where EL falls in).

I'm sure CM wants to earn an offer. It sounds like LSU is where he wants to go.

It is horrible to say, but if he goes prep school or JUCO then it would benefit LSU a ton.

We could take Lacy in the 2010 class along with Lache Seastrunk and be done at RB with 2 FIVE star commits.

THis is what I hope happens as well, but it does not seem likely.

That is strong!
Tells alot. I see alot spots or guys on our current class that would flourish or have a better career coming in the 2010 class then Redshirting. These kids know where they stand. They see a 5* kid sign this year or the year before. They arent ignorant. They have the same tools and resources that 95% of us have.

Some of this kids like a RD probably knew that he would have a better chance at playing by sitting 2 years. (GS & RS) Then coming in and having a full 4 years to get on the field.

Yeah, I dont Murphy grey shirted. It says on his profile he graduated in 2006. That was also the season he was redshirted, so he couldnt have gotten a grey shirt.

Trindon did get a grey shirt.

Basically, the person that 'grey shirts' counts towards next year's class. They can either start school in the Fall and pay there own way for the first semester, or they can start in January and their scholarship will begin then.

One technical point. The advantage of a grey shirt to the player is that his eligibility clock does not start due to the delayed entry. However if he enrolls and takes more than one class, maybe two, his clock will start and he will not be a grey shirt. He may as well walkon and redshirt and learn something his first year because that year will be gone. Even if a grey shirt enrolls and takes the minimum he cannot be part of the team at all.
