Is there any deadline the NCAA has to meet in its decision on Chambliss?

Seems like the NCAA is under no incentive to give Chambliss an answer.

That's a really shitty thing to hang over this young mans head regardless of if he comes to LSU or not. They should of had to have a determination prior to Jan 2nd.

As I understand, they are waiting on Ferris for something. I think they need Ferris to say that Chambliss was benched due to injury and not that he lost the job. I think in actuality, he lost the job. Ferris may not play ball.

Bayou85 is correct. That is the current situation. Ball in Ferris State's court.

LSU needs to move on from Chambliss as an option. The NCAA is gonna delay this thing out where Chambliss will have little option other than stay at Ole Miss. It's almost as if it's on purpose.

Pate says that Ferris St isn't being cooperative and doesn't want to support Chambliss's case so sounds like the waiver is a long shot.
