Is LSU targeting any other quarterbacks for 2025?

With Underwood gone and Bryce Baker staying with UNC are there any others LSU is targeting or are we just looking at portal guys or even nobody at this point?

We have to be targeting someone, but I haven’t heard of any.
We are in a tough spot because of Underwood. Most transfers want more playing time and won’t want to sit for a year behind Nuss, so it makes sense to be a target guy in high school. Unfortunately I imagine most kids we believe could be capable of playing QB at LSU are committed/signed already.
Best case for LSU would be to sign a QB that had to start as a freshmen on a bad team that showed promise, but knows that developing another year behind Nuss to challenge for the starting role in 2026 is the best idea, but that’s a unicorn these days.

I agree that this would be the best case. IMO the most likely is we hold firm with the three we have on roster now and go hard in the portal paint next year for someone looking to start immediately.

Can't believe it happened, but this is the best case scenario after Underwood bailed. College experience in the SEC, and tremendous upside. I assume for far less than 12 mil. Huge pickup for LSU getting MVB.
