Plain and simple this guy is scared to compete ,he sees the backs at LSU and he doesnt think he can get on the field, so he goes somewhere else

And you know this how? Maybe he wants to be a workhorse back with 20+ carries a game like the Wisconsin back. Maybe he wants the opportunity to compete for the Heisman as a RB. That will not happen at LSU.

OK, I agree... Same thing with Warrick Dunn back in the day. He wanted to be a featured back and that won't happen at LSU. AS a recruit the best thing you can do is figure out where you fit in and go there. you should not worry about the school, it's record, tradition/ You should go where you can PLAY and receive a solid education.

Maybe DB is just thinking they'll get a better RB coach than Wilson once Dooley and staff are gone after next season.

I don't think he is scared to compete. It is just with all the RB we have they could see Miles switching him to a LB to get him playing time, which is something they did not want and did not want to be forced into.

Warrick Dunn, like most top Louisiana recruits back then, never really considered playing for the pile of crap that was LSU football at that time. They all went elsewhere, with Florida State and Miami being top destinations.

He/They are just mad that we accepted Hill into the class after we told Bourque we wouldn't recruit another RB.

It's best for both parties. Not a bad trend.

I'd say that accurately sums up that situation.

Kids that have always been "the stud" on their team and their families often have trouble accepting that "little Johnny" or "Little Tyrone" is not the only good player on the team and he might be the #5 RB and probably won't start.

I think CLM is straight up with them... a more desperate program might make promises LSU would not.... i.e. instant playing time, etc.

Not true.... WD labored over his decision, but in the end wanted to get away from BR where his mother had been killed.

He didn't even sign until after NSD because he was still considering LSU.

Same with McKnight... tough decision but in the end went where the felt most comfortable... can't blame them or LSU's coaches for that.... ever.

Wanting to and doing are two separate things. He may not be. But he may think he is. My point is no one knows his reasoning, so claiming he is afraid is bogus.
