Goodrich? Or are we out on him?

I'd love to finish up with Chase, Marshall, and Goodrich.

Goodrich, maybe Williams or Beal (trending in other directions now). Guess that Watkins, Keys, or the Foucha, S from 35, would be options as well.

Bama thinks they are getting Surtain. But then again, they always believe they're getting errrrbody

Not out but he's far from a lock. Visits to UGA and UF loom. Also seems the staff is prioritizing Foster over him. Don't agree with that but its neither here nor there but they better land one of them. Will be interesting to see the final weekend list of visitors for possibilities if we miss.

Everyone seems to think they are gonna make the decision very tough. Not sure if it's just a Bama respect thing or if there is real scuttlebutt but the threat is there.
Could end up a disaster at CB if we don't get Surtain or Goodrich. We are gonna need CBS to play next season.

I agree lsufanva

Disaster if we don’t get surtain or Goodrich. We really need them both

Surtain has been LSU for a while now, it would have to take some serious pull to get him away from us

Seems that way to me too. I would rather Goodrich too, but then I looked at how loaded the 2019 class is at DB, and I'm fine with it now. I believe you need a QB every year, but wasn't in favor of taking one just to take one. I went and looked at some of Foster's game highlights, and I think he's a little better than I originally thought. But who knows, maybe I'm just taking myself into him.

Why? We still have C. Raymond, Surtain-jr isn't going anywhere.

C. Raymond

I read a recent interview with Surtain and he said Bama was right there with LSU as his top two with LSU having a slight lead. He also said, and this was surprising to me, that he thought Alabama had the better opportunity for early playing time.

quote:

Because of his size at 6-2, his frame, his NFL pedigree, his athleticism and ball skills, Surtain can compete for a starting job in most programs around the country. But early opportunity is important to him and that has helped Alabama surge of late in his recruitment.

“Just their depth chart at cornerback. That’s a big key. Early playing time for me, being able to get into a school and compete and start as a true freshman. That’s one major thing I look at.”

Asked what program offered the best depth chart situation, he pointed towards the Tide.

Bama probably because they’re losing all those DBs. Mostly, if I just compete, I’ll have a chance to play anywhere.”

Lol I had to edit that was so bad, my apologies. And I think we even out early PT with our Dbs leaving also.

We just lost our second and third best corner... next up is greedy (gone after next year), Fulton (junior next year) and kary

The opportunity to play early here is a good one

I agree with y'all on that. The article I read was from December 31, so maybe he wasn't sure if Toliver and Jackson were both going to leave or not.

IDK, but it sure surprised the heck out of me that he would look at both of our depth charts and think that Alabama's was thinner. Especially when they've already signed 3 corners this year.

Goodrich, surtain and chase with Kelvin Joseph need those really bad. Does Cole Tracey still count? Or they sorted that out to where he does not count? Bama got away with plenty over the last so many years to sign multiple ppl over 25 last several years. Can Lsu find a way to do the same?

I agree. They have some "insiders" on their board who are supposedly plugged into American Heritage in South Florida.

it's hilarious to me that they fall for it every time.
