And that conveniently allows him to just happen to be able to put immense pressure on another recruit who happens to be announcing there? A situation that is impermissible in any other circumstances... It’s wrong.

I’m not debating whether the rule is right or wrong, I’m just letting you know what the rule is.
I tend to agree with the rule, though. The odds of this situation happening are extremely rare.
You can’t prevent parents from being there for their children.
