So Bama is moving millions in cash a year to recruits. No fricking way that wouldn’t create a bunch of smoke

I've said for a long time that he was overrated and I wouldn't be surprised if he was a bust. As for grades, he's going to Bama, he will qualify with flying colors!

So you think Bama or some booster just wrote them a personal check? And if so, here comes the IRS.

Then those that could give a “promotion” then now need to give him a pink slip ASAP. Until the people that help this happen: barber and his type, families that string along staff, w/o consequence it will continue. Huey P and Earl K style, every agency we have in LA goes on the onslaught.

Who cares? He's dead to me as a player. Stop with the threads about him. He doesn't exist.

I doubt Bama would have signed him unless they were sure he'd be eligible.

I can think of quite a few reasons that they would.

- Keep him from going to LSU
- They signed a dominate DL class, so no big deal if he isn’t eligible for some time. He’s worth the risk.
- It’s Bama/Saban/tSEC... he will be eligible.

Ish recieves from Alabama: - $150,000 dollars when he signed with Alabama. - $50,000-60,000 every year he remains at Alabama. Assuming 3 years, his freshman, Sophmore, junior seasons. That’s another $150,000-$180,000. A total of $300,000-$330,000. - He gets a car. - His Brother will make it on the the team, and not be on scholarship, but won’t pay for it. - His grandparents also will get something their way. Money their way. The “Ace in the Hole” that was referred to, I belive was a job promotion offered to his dad that he declined.

Don't know if any of this true. But if it is that is outrageous. It does not matter how big of a golden goose Bama is, it could not keep that a secret very long. To many tentacles. Even the SEC could not hide it very long.

I don't have a clue if he was paid, BUT if he did I highly doubt the money is paid directly to him or his family. That would be way too obvious. I am guessing this is not the "bagman's" first rodeo so they know what the F they are doing and how to get away with it. IRS concerns... you think that has not been considered? lol.

Any of you Bagmen? Educate us on how the money gets to the players without leaving a trail... hypothetically speaking of course.

dont shoot the messenger but I heard from a realible source close to the Amite program that Ish may not be eligible and is having grade issues. He may have to go Juco.

take it for what its worth.

Eddie Lacy couldn't fricking read and miraculously improved his ACT score by like 15 after he committed to Bama. No way he doesn't qualify with as much bag money that goes into Amite.

If a booster wrote him a check, then it's a gift, not income. The booster can file a gift tax return and as long as the player hasn't eclipsed the $5+M limit, there are no taxes. That said, it would be a paper document on record, even though not public.

Reality is it's hard to prove if it's cash and if the regulatory bodies aren't even trying to look for it, it's impossible. Without a media outlet doing some serious investigative journalism and getting people on record, this isn't going anywhere.
