When Jackson made his decision weeks ago he was a Vol and LSU was his competition. He played his cards to help UT not LSU.

Lance and Janzen are really just a POS combo and that's all it boils down to.

I've know Lance (Janzen's dad) my whole life and didn't and still don't think he's is a liar. I really think they felt that playing for Tennesse and Montie Kiffin was in Janzen's best interest. I'd say you have an incorrect perception of Lance.

I don't think you can blame a kid for choosing a different school. That stuff happens all of the time. However, Lance continually told Miles that he Janzen was firmly committed as recently as Wednesday night. That shows that Lance is absolutely a liar.

Blakus: It looks as if Kiffin had the signed LOI from Jackson on Wed. I am suprised that there is not some sort of rule which reqires the schools to disclose the LOI's they receive within a very short time. If there is no such rule, I think this should be considered. What Jackson and Kiffin did is, IMHO, unethical. Also, it is amazing that Kiffin would call out Meyer for a violation of a rule that he (Kiffin) made up, but feel no shame for his role in this deception.

I'm sure this was already covered and I have missed a day, but publicly JJ said he was going to LSU up until Thursday. The Times Picayune reported that JJ called the Tennessee coaches TUESDAY night to let them know that he would sign with the Vols.

JJ's dad called Les before the press conference on Thursday to tell him JJ was signing with Tenn.

If JJ was a stand up guy, shouldn't he had made the call himself and called Tuesday night when he spoke with the Tennessee coaches.

Coach Miles was still under the impression that LSU had JJ in the fold Wednesday evening at the Bayou Bash when he said they were still waiting on one more.

I don't fault this young man for changing his mind, but the way it was handled was awful.

He is a scumbag because he didn't give another kid a chance to sign.

And if you remember the hoky story they came up with on signing day. Oh, we're going to sign with LSU we're just waiting for my Mom to get in from California. Her plane was delayed and we want all the family here when we sign.........that's why we're waiting until tomorrow.

What a crock of shite!
