We also need Elias Ricks. 2020 5*DB from Mater Dei... let's go head on and start that Cali/Mater Dei pipeline!

Well shite, I see a bunch of tweets on Ricks’ twitter about another kid Lejond Cavazos, an IMG player and they’re talking about how they’re gonna play together in college.
The Cavazos kid is committed to Ohio State.

Notes from 247:
Trey Sanders:
Nolan Smith:
Noah Cain:
Trey Sanders:
quote:
TREY SANDERS EVEN BETTER THEN ADVERTISED.
in a game littered with star power, Sanders was the best player on the field this night.
Sanders is rated the No. 1 running back in the country and No. 7 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite and definitely lived up to his lofty billing. Alabama currently leads
Nolan Smith:
quote:
After this game, there really should be no debate about who the top defensive player in the country is, Smith is on a different level.
Talking with some of the Mater Dei coaches and players following the game, they gushed about Smith in almost reverent tones, some calling him the best high school defensive end they had ever seen. It’s not just his freakish combination of size, speed and power, it’s the maniacal energy and effort he plays with on every down.
The Georgia commit went all out on every snap, drawing multiple holding penalties, helping to shut down the run game and getting constant pressure on the quarterback. He may have only finished with four tackles but was a constant presence in the backfield and is the kind of player you shouldn’t expect to see more then three years in college.
In 20+ years of watching high school football players and I'll just compare him to players I've seen out West, Smith is probably the best defensive end prospect I've seen.
Noah Cain:
quote:
It’s tough to say a player rated among the nation’s best needs to have a ‘coming out party,’ but this was definitely the best we have ever seen Noah Cain run the football. Rated the No. 106 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite, Cain still gets over-shadowed at times by his highly touted teammate, Trey Sanders.
Cain was a load to deal with in this game and pounded the rock in to the heart of the Monarch defense all night long. He carried the ball a game high 22 times for 122 yards and a touchdown and gave out more punishment then he took.
He may not have the burst or top end speed Sanders has but he showed plenty of quickness getting in to the second level and routinely broke multiple tackles on just about every carry. At 5-10, 215 pounds, Cain is a powerful wrecking ball running between the tackles and has enough quickness to break one at any time as well.
Texas and LSU currently lead in the Crystal Ball forecast at this time.
