I have to laugh at that type of attitude. As someone mentioned in another thread, THAT attitude that LSU is too good for some of its 4* recruits, a la Sentimore, could very well end up being LSU's downfall one day. Time will tell. But you may very well end up eating your words.

Sentimore will never play for Bama.

True, but fortuntely THAT is clearly NOT LSU's attitude. No one has ever stated that Sentimore is not any good. Sentimore has some serious grade issues or he probably would have an LSU offer. Plus, LSU has some serious leads on players that it has ranked ahead of Sentimore. There is nothing strange about that. Bama needed DBs last year and LSU filled up on the DBs it wanted so Bama came in and signed a DB that didn't get an LSU offer.

I think ALL schools try to spot situations where the home school won't be offering certain talented players and then try to step in and sign an otherwise solid player. Montrell Connor is an excellent example. It was pretty obvious early on that LSU wouldn't sign another RB so MSU is now getting a really good RB that it wouldn't otherwise get. If LSU is loaded at QB next year, I'm sure Bama and other schools will be here trying to sign QBs that LSU would otherwise sign. If Bama is full at the LB spot next year, you can bet LSU will be in Mobile or wheverever to sign the best LBs we can. That's just smart recruiting.

LSU Percent applicants admitted: 73%
Alabama Percent applicants admitted: 64%

Well, apparently we admit a lower percentage of incoming freshmen than does LSU, but what does the College Board know?

You realize the main reason Sentimore didn't get an offer (yet) is because 2 5-star DTs are very interested in us, right?

That is a retarded way of comparing admission standards.

I didn't apply to Harvard because I knew I wouldn't get in.

Catch my drift, dipshit?

You guys are fricking dumb. For athletes, Bama and LSU basically have the same academic standards.

Everyone in the SEC does outside of Vandy.

I'm sorry, perhaps I should have pointed you to U.S. News and World Report, which, in its annual rankings of U.S. universities, has ranked the University of Alabama ahead of LSU for more than a decade. Alabama has more USA Today Academic All-Americans, Goldwater and Truman Scholars, and National Merit Finalists.

So, in response to your post, I absolutely "catch your drift": we admit fewer students than you do, and those applying to UA tend to be more academically accomplished than those applying to LSU.

Your only mistake was referring to me as the "dipshit." And, you're right, you WOULDN'T get into Harvard.

Bama is not getting Randle, LSU will have a higher ranked class then Bama this year. Les miles has proven he can recruit just as good as Saban. Stop the wishful thinking. Also maybe LSU hasn't offered Sentimore because they feel they have better athletes on the board that show serious intrest. Why take Sentimore when you have legitimate shots at Jamarcus Mcfarland or William Campbell. It's just really pathetic how bad most Bama fans want LSU to tank their program, but thats never going to happen. As far as Saban taking LA talent, LOL.

Not true. 'Bama is a pretty good school. I think they were the fourth highest ranked (in the SEC) on the latest rankings, while LSU was 10th.

Thank you.

Vanderbilt is first, but among the publics, it's Florida, Georgia, then 'Bama.

meh, the us news rankings aren't definitive in my opinion. in most regards (national perception, job placement, future earnings, educational quality, etc.) there really isn't much of a difference between the large flagship state universities, especially once you get past the top 10-15 publics
