Jernigan was a stud but almost everyone knew it wasn't going to be LSU. Hunter was a tough one but this is why most recruitniks stress the three year rule. Recruiting is anything but a science and the last thing this staff really can scrutinized for is its recruiting. There is only a handful of schools that will recruit as well as LSU. Bama, Florida, and FSU are the four that flat out recruit. I think LSU is one of the best at finding the under the radar guys and putting them on the map. People don't really understand how hard it is to recruit successfully every year.

LSU will be fine even in the worst scenario. You can't help but think everyone (recruits/coaching staff) are all making contingency plans.

Here's been the trend on this board the past week.
Somebody posts something , whether its hypothetical or his opinion and 5 pages later it dissolves into a pissing match between posters that come over from the rant and the so called "recruiting board regulars".
It's getting really fricking annoying. Everybody just needs to chill the frick out.

Still not feeling good about this one if only because of the fly by night "nobody knows where he is or if he's even there" thing.
Like, if it's just a courtesy to larry porter, why make it a big secret thing? Or why tell people you're shutting it down and not visiting anywhere else like 3 days before you take an official visit?

Do we know for a fact that he didnt tell the coaches he was going to UT? It may have been a surprise to the recruiting sites but maybe the coaches were aware.

Take with a grain of salt, but according to the Texas mods on 247 he did not tell the LSU coaches first.
