i appreciate your response, and I hope youre right about Raymond. hes only had a year but I hold Cooper in such high regard that its gonna very very hard for anyone to follow him. to me, losing him was still the worst part of a historically awful off-season.

Cooper was great at one thing, his eye for talent. Other than that he wasn't that great of a DB coach. Sucked at recruiting and teaching proper technique. The Bucs weakest part of the team was the pass defense, overall secondary, one of the worst in NFL history. Which is why he's on the chopping blocks after only one season in the pros. Raymond is big on coaching technique and he's an amazing recruiter. Raymond can recruit from coast to coast. He's has done more towards recruiting in one year than Cooper did his whole time here.

Everything else you posted was full of exaggeration and bullshite. Matt Millen might have been a failure in the NFL, but he easily knows more about football than 95% of people who post on here. You saying otherwise proves you're too ignorant to post on the recruiting board. Please stay on the rant

U must be a gump. If in two months LSU does not hire a OC then I will agree however.

dont get me wrong people, I love LSU and I used to really like Miles, but all the frustrating sh*t he would do that I hoped would go away haven't, and in some cases have gotten worse, and I feel like were on a precipice right now. our problems are easily identifiable and can be fixed, but if we blindly plow ahead as if nothing is wrong than we're f*cked. we'll be UGA, stuck on "pretty good" for 10 years and nothing to show for it.

That's a well constructed, honest opinion that has nothing to do with the recruiting board. This stuck UGA you speak of still recruits at a high level and would love to be able lock up their in state talent as well as LSU has the last ten years. The bitching about coaching and offensive woes don't belong on this board. Quit letting the rant debates cloud your judgement on the recruiting board because any argument made against this staff and their recruiting ability is wrong, uneducated, and quite frankly and for lack of a better word, retarded.

Jennings could be our version of RG3

You can't compare the two. Yes, JEnnings looks the part of an outstanding athlete, but RG3 is a track star that happened to be able to sling the ball around. Jennings is a pocket passer with escapability.

The two can indeed be compared. RG3 is faster and 4 years further along in development -- duh. Both are good passers. Jennings ran the read option in high school and ran it well. He is a legitimate duel threat QB. He'll run the read option at LSU and run it well. He'll also make plays with his legs on passing plays when receivers are covered. He reminds me of RP, but a better passer, his head on straighter, but maybe not quite as elusive or powerful. Cannot wait to see him perform. He's perfect for CLM's philosophy; the threat of the option will force defenses to maintain outside containment and preclude their ability to clog the middle with bodies -- allowing a more productive power running game between the tackles. Cannot wait.

But why would we bring in a all-everything QB in Jennings and a pocket passer pro style QB in Rettig in the same class, it just means they are gonna rotate and create another JL/JJ mess. This is one of the things about Miles that pisses me off, pick one or the other and roll with him and if he sucks sit him down and that's it.

To be honest, I think that they are both capable QB's that you really can't pass on..whoever can come in and show that they can handle the position will get the spot (eventually). LSU is not trying to run a spread type offense and both of these QB's can stand in the pocket and deliver. Jennings just has that escapability if need be. But he is pass first, run second..For the record, Rettig is faster than the statue called Mettsiah FWIW

I know both are awesome. Although I think Rettig is more of a project whereas Jennings can play right away. Yeah but it could be better than concrete shoes Mett.

Rettig can move just fine. Jennings can move even better.

Rettig has a full fledged gun. Jennings has an average, but very accurate arm.

I can't wait to watch this QB battle.

I think it is the best way to recruit. Get a couple really good prospects with slightly different strengths.

I agree with you on this....get them both in there and let them compete for playing time. Personally, I like them both...I just hope the competition thing doesn't turn LSU fans against each other like it did with JJ/JL. I hope to never see something like that again.
