Watch out for ND and Cal with Ego.He wants to play DE and they both run a 3-4 so he would fit perfectly.Had a great visit with Kelly this weekend.I think Cal but we have a shot.

1. do you think Ambles is worth taking a shot on?
2. Have you heard anything which way Boone is leaning?
6. Why do you like Parker?
12. I think Riley could make a very nice SS.

When we had 2 WRs on board, no. When we had 1 WR on board, no. Now that we have 0 WRs on board two weeks before NSD...maybe. He may have the most baggage of the WRs still out there but I believe he is the most talented. Desperation outweighs risk at this point. Of course, it does us no good if he is kicked off the team or behind bars in a year.

I've heard he likes UGA and had a good talk with Tuberville. He liked LSU way back but never received any love in return so he looked elsewhere; now we are interested and he apparently still is as well. I don't think anyone knows for sure which way he is leaning but I think LSU has as good a shot as anyone.

Why do you like Parker?

Always want good defensive players and Parker is a very good LB. He has good size (6'3" 230 lbs), good speed, and is very strong. Not really sure where Maclin is going to end up and Muncie's ability differs upon the person telling you. Plus, word is Mingo is going to be used as a situational DE.

I agree; Riley could be a filthy beast at SS. I ranked him low because I think the chances of him coming here are about as small as CPA's penis.

Regarding Seastrunk, if we get him we will be happy but he is not critical to this class anymore. If he comes he will be extra gravy; if not, we still have 3 good RBs in tow. I ranked him low in priority because I prefer not to have a class with 4 RBs and 0 WRs.

I don't think anyone is weary, I think it's that we already have so many RBs including Ware that he's not the top priority anymore IMO.

Take as much LBer potential as you can get IMO. We should recruit that spot harder and hope that some of them pan out. And he's supposed to be a good one anyway.

Ton of talent with no WR's on board. Hell yeah go after him.

If you were in charge of recruiting at LSU
who would be your priority in recruiting of players not already commited to LSU for the class of 2010.
Try this: I would be paid a lot more; I would have a lot more information; and I would have a proven record of evaluating talent.

Damn! That's me! (I'm just underpaid. But, I know about as much as you.).

Don't be embarrassed. This is NOT a foolish question. Kind'a.

"Seems like EGo F will end up at Cal.
Interesting wonder why he wanted to go west coast. "

CAL is the #1 public university in the USA. Some people's moms actually want their kids to learn something in school.
You become like the company you keep. Mom may want him to hob-nob with elite students.

AND, it is in Berkeley, which is part of the social experiment
called eco-topia by the mass marketing guru's.

Berkeley is a great place to be.

Always wonder why schools offer kids who probably can't qualify. Does each school have an enrollment board who can override admission qualifications?

most do...this depends on the high school coach and administration being honest with the Recruiting coaches..

I know several high school coaches that lie to recruiters to make themselves look good..To see the coaches face when administration shows transcripts is priceless.

Do you think college coaches almost prefer the not so bright recruit? That way they don't have to worry about getting complaints from players about practicing too long.

good point

He doesn't seem explosive enough on tape to me. I wasn't very impressed with the tape i saw of him.

i agree to me he seems like a USC lock.

I think LSU has a very nice shot at Wright and Lee I think would have declared by now if LSU offered.

But casting that aside, looking at the class we have now:

1) Ambles - I think he's the most elite player left at a position of need.
2) Kadron Boone - I actually like him more than Hunter and if we finished with him and Ambles I think it'd be an upgrade over the Davis/Hunter combo we had.
3) Kelcy Quarles - Dynamic playmaker at DT and he expressed interest. If we could lock him up in lieu of Marsh or with Marsh, would be a hell of a duo.
4) James Wright/Trovon Reed/Jarrett Fobbs - I have a hard time ranking any of these 3 ahead of one another. Wright probably for his size. But I'd put heavy priority on the in-state guys.

I can just find very, very little with which to disagree with - great analysis.
