I had an offer to Bama and would have gone had I not chosen LSU. aTm was just plain weird and UF wasn't what it was with Spurrier. UNC was an intriguing idea, but too far.
You played football for LSU?

I've never understood why Hawaii isn't a top 5 program in every major sport.

Factors for me (if LSU is excluded):
Closeness to home
Education
Ability to get to the NFL
Depth Chart
Coaches (position coaches)
Location/City
since I don't know what position I am playing or depth chart to that position, I'd have to go with Texas by far and away, then Georgia Tech and Florida. Maybe UGA, aTm, TCU, Houston and SMU. After that, Baylor and Moo State.
No way I'd go to bama, auburn and Ole Miss!

Texas
Easy road to NC, constant 10 win seasons (last year was unreal), not to mention Austin is probably my favorite city I've ever been to.

Except for Coaches, Tulane fits that to a tee.
And you know if I'm a John Elway-ish highly ranked recruit, over the course of 4 years, Tulane would be stealing some New Olreans & South La. recruits from LSU wanting to play with me. We'd eventually cruise thru CUSA yearly, and in my last couple of years, we could end up undefeated BCS busters. No way I'm going to be associated with another state's school for the rest of my life.
However, Hawaii would be my OOS option since I have some family there, and it would be a great 4 year vacation. But I'd fake my hat selection and say Hawaii has no swagga.

Assuming we're talking football, I'd have to go with Texas or USC. Basketball, I'd go with UNC, hands down. Baseball, Texas or UCLA. I'm basing this on school traditions and locations, since I don't know how the depth charts would affect me and coaches can change at any time.
