I think we realize what's happening.

It’s called buying championships and the SEC has been doing in for decades. The difference now is it’s open and you have idiots telling these kids they’re worth millions without stepping foot on campus, so the numbers are unreachable for most. How this sustainable is beyond me.

SEC/Big 10 about to break off and start their own league and will be distributing revenue to players evenly. Just wait, SEC is about frick up the college football world once one their teams get left out of the playoffs.

And you started a separate thread to inform us of what we don't realize?

From all the uninformed, thank you so very much.

It will end when these kids not mature enough to handle that kind of money, make life altering mistakes .

Just give it time. Trust me this is definitely not sustainable.

In a few more years when these spoiled rotten entitled 5 stars are asking for a minimum of 10-12 million then they are going to be forced to have to put a stop to something. Because I can promise you these kids are going to just drive up the demanding price every year until something is done about it.

I see a lot of 30 for 30 episodes in the future on these kids that downward spiral after getting rich before maturing.

The NCAA needs a massive overhaul. I wonder if Trump can fix college football too?

Why do you say this? Can you give an example of what you are referring to?

LSU can easily be the Yankees or the dodgers. We have a top 10 NIL.

The issue is this kid happened to be from Michigan and Michigan is so desperate that they pulled out all the stops.

There will be other QBs but Kelly has to find a way to survive this, and combined with the losses this last month, it’s looking grim

Nuss needs to make a massive leap next year or we need a huge portal grab

So...just like before when Bama and Southern Cal paid players under the table?

There’s a pretty large gap between the top half and the bottom. Only 12 teams go to the playoffs and some will be from smaller conferences, so unless you’re in the Top 5, you’re going to struggle.

This is why they wanted to pay college players and that is why Saban retired.
Any school can get good players if they pay.

Won’t be too much longer before we have the first cases of kids in deep trouble with the IRS.

How long has it been since the Yankees have won the World Series?

Just because you don't have the biggest checkbook doesn't mean you can't compete. The Yankees overpay for players yearly.

But LSU isn’t struggling

We have a very good class still

This imo is a one off. It’s bad for Kelly. Horrible timing. But it’s a one off.

Forget the NCAA. There’s no stopping this runaway train. Unless you can get a handle on all the booster money (not going to happen…), even revenue sharing isn’t going to fix the problem, because deep pocketed boosters are just going to supplement whatever the schools give.

I'm surprised that no one in the media is in uproar over paying a high school kid over 12 million. I'm all for paying players but that number is outrageous. If it was for Burrow in 2019 or Daniels in 2023, then yeah over 3 million a year is earned but Underwood could very well be a bust which isn't out of the question considering the variables.

High expectations come with that high of pay. And that offense is Les Milesesque.
