He claimed that he spoke to Davenport several times and this is what Davenport said to DD, that Campbell said he would be an LSU Tigers
Now, if you speak to a current commit and he tells you this kind of information, you would think if your DD, it's legit

In fact DD was being defensive that day if you recall because people were questioning his sources (emails_.. I posted my email response from him because I questioned it also...

Objectivity in reporting is a complete and total illusion. At any rate, it certainly has nothing to do with information reported on a site geared for the fans of a particular team.
Essentially what you are paying for is the belief one guy can not only get the story first, but get it right. It has nothing to do with being objective or fair. It has everything to do with being accurate. They depend on your belief that they are accurate. That's it. Otherwise...nobody would cough up the monthly fee.
Its all about what you believe. But the truth is that any real recruiting news is immediately made available to the general public. I'm talking about commitments. Beyond that, you depart from the realm of objectivity and enter the realm of credibility....its simply all about who you believe.

Things change in recruiting by the day. Sonny and Mike can try to be as objective as they want but these HS teenagers' minds change. Its impossible to accurately predict what they are going to do all the time. Each site has privileged info. Some is allowed to be reported other times its confidential. Sometimes info is not reported accurately. Sometimes fans read to much into a recruits EXACT wording, hanging on every word. Checking their facebook, and myspace profiles. Seeing what socks they are wearing or what university signs they hold up with their hands. Its ridiculous.
ESPN, Dandy, Mike, and Sonny all have their sources. I like to use a cumulative analysis from all 4 when trying to guess who will commit. Other than that, its all up in the air. Recruiting is just like a soap opera. You never get the whole story so it keeps you coming back for more until something exciting happens. Most days, its just fluff.

He never played down the fact that Campbell was making comments on his visit. Go back and read it.
He says "comments like that are common when kids are on a visit and bond...."
what do you think he is talking about? Maybe I am reading it wrong.
He obviously said something positive about LSU to the other guys on the visit.
