Yes, the meltdowns would be EPIC. FAR surpassing Joe Mcknight. Many people just passed off McKnight due to JC. Randle is no JC kid.

Would that be the biggest meltdown this board has ever seen? It would make the McKnight debacle seem like a JV game.

I agree, because Shep is a solid commitment that has been recruiting for LSU..

McKnight never committed to LSU, and basically toyed with us all along

Shep is Just as big a recruit as McKnight IMO he is just less know (LSU fans) because he is from Texas.

that would be a terrible blow, but thankfully that is highly unlikely

Honestly people would be freaking out, but if you step back and take a look, this team would be just fine without him. We are so damn deep. We lost out on McKnight, and won an NC. Perrilloux never panned out, yet we won for the first time in a decade at Auburn.

This team's success does not hinge on one player. We will be fine with or without him.

However, I sure hope he does in fact come here in the end. Which I think he will.

I think his recruiting will turn out similar to Julio Jones last year. You know he's going to your school but you start to panic every time Luginballs call him an OU (or insert other random school name here) lock.

I think Randle is lot more up in the air than Julio was last year. Everyone seemed to believe he was 'Bama bound all along. I have no real info, but I could easily see him(randle) going elsewhere (Miami might actually be the leader).

At very worst, its 1/3 LSU, Miami, Bama.

Here's the deal. If we lost him there would be a meltdown. But unlike the JM fiasco, I think we will be better prepared for this one. Also, everyone watched last night's game. One player will never make or break a program. JM going to USC didn't break LSU. And if Randle doesn't decide to come to LSU, it will of course suck, but many should revert back to the JM debacle and realize that we will be fine.

In the end:

And if you don't want to represent your state in favor of playing for a guy(saban) that is a legitimate prick(I know him personally and professionally), then go for it.

HE IS NOT GOING TO BAMA! He will be wearing purple and gold.

JM actually went to right place, he fits in perfectly with USC.

Also Julio and Randall would be tough to defend.

That with Trent R is what Saban is counting on.

It's gonna get tough.
