Aranda has established LSU as one of, if not the top defense in the country in a short time. Freshman would have a very good chance on coming in and having a major impact in first year. Couple of no-shows left the door wide open for a hungry tiger looking to make a name for himself right away. I am confident we will get big LB talent in 2017 class.

That would be a helluva haul... but I doubt we get all of those dudes. I like the way you think though.

ETA-And you can definitely count Allen out.

First of all, if you were a high school teenager, you might not watch Aranda as closely as you do now or think you would. If you were a teenager, your number one motivation would probably be to have fun, and not just fun on Saturdays 3 months out of the year. Kids go where they feel the most excitement and where they get compensated the best.

Some kids obviously just wanna go to Bama, get processed, get a ring, work flipping burgers after unsuccessful stint in Canadian league, sell ring on Ebay, then fade away into obscurity.

Of course you would be all over LSU. If you were a fan of another school, you would be saying the same shite about them lol

Another plus that never gets mentioned is the DL talent Coach O is bringing in. There will be some great DL talent that will be 2-gapping and those 3-4 backers will have opportunities to make plays. Check the stats this year for both Riley and Beckwith.

If these BR kids want to continue burning LSU to play for Sanan Aranda needs to recruit his old grounds

You could flip that statement with a KID from any state........

If I were a top LB recruit - I would be all over ALABAMA right now.

If I were a top LB recruit - I would be all over TEXAS right now.

If I were a top LB recruit - I would be all over USC right now.

ON & ON

Yeah he's drinking the Saban-ade.
He'll end up playing some ST early maybe get caught up behind some other elite LBs from other states, other than Alabama, and then go to ULL or SLU down the road.
All the while D White will lead other in state LBs to all SEC teams ( just ask Duke) then to the league.
You sooner or later get what you ask for.

Not true, you would expect to ride the bench for 1 or 2 years at Bama. That is the point, great opportunity to come in and have an immediate impact.

Ellis Brooks planning to visit LSU during the week sometime. That was fast.

Things are looking up for LBs. It lookslike we have a decent shot at Gay, Chaisson, Phillips, and Brooks. I'm not holding my breath on Allen, but who knows.
