Were you around through 1990-1994?

Just so you know, we had JACK shite in 1991 when Hallman arrived. DiNardo signed Kevin Faulk in ‘95 and we started winning again. It doesn’t take but a few years of bad coaching and bad recruiting and you’re stuck in quicksand.
I hope it never happens again but it could. Look at USCw.

Yeah, I know all about LSU's history, and you're right the coaching was terrible. But that changed with Saban who came there with the ideal of locking down top local talent in the state and that started to turn around the program. Sure, the Hallman's and Dinardo's would get "some" top local talent in their recruiting classes, but nowhere near enough to turn around the program, besides, they weren't good coaches. Saban started going after the best of the best in the state, and it took a lil time, but of course you started seeing the program turnaround and go in the right direction culminating with that title in 2003. There is no doubt in my mind had he remained at LSU and not been tempted by Miami, he would have close to 10 NC's at LSU. LOL A huge frickin dynasty that fricking Alabama is reaping in and enjoying right now, but it is what it is. Miles came aboard after he left and kept the ship going in the right direction by continuing what he started by keeping that top local talent locked up, and of course Orgeron knows what to do, but neither of them is the coach that Saban is.

Anybody nervous if they fire Clay Helton and hire CUM in December??? Is 2-3 months enough time for Urban to get some Cali boys to flip back?
