His closing speed is legit. I have seen him play in person and on film. I think he is a natural pass rusher and enjoys rushing the passer, but without question could move if asked to. He is a great kid and natural athlete with good football instincts.

Naturally, but he does seem to have a frame that our other ends do not have, and that is a lower center of gravity—at 6'3 he is not too tall to play in the middle.

Additionally, he'd get no playing time this year unless he came in and beat out Sam, Mingo, Adams, Aghayere, Edwards, Logan and Allen(?). Not to mention the other pipe dream guys LSU is still in on: Drew and Clowney.

I don't see him as an instant impact guy at end—nothing wrong with that, but like I said, seeing that he's still on the fence about which program he wants to play for, playing time HAS to be in the equation—but at the Mike/DE I think you could almost create a TRex-type position for him.

However, the same has been be said for Maclin; a versatile end who can be dropped into zone coverage effectively.

nice, maybe ego/edwards/aghayere rotating on the inside as well

I think Rasco will be a DE at LSU. But I do love the idea of him playing mike, I think that he has the size/speed combo, instincts, and he does indeed play down hill.

I just wish we could recruit TRUE LB's instead of moving DE's/DB's to LB, next years crop should be nice however

Like FSU. If only we could trade a few of our RB's for a few of their LB's...The best "RB" commit FSU has had lately is a way better LB!
