I hope so. They could do more together IMO...hard to defend 2 studs.

This. I don't see another big receiver scaring off the other, if anything this helps them both.

Just seems our WR are gonna be crowded with OBJ, Dural, Landry, Avery, Leslie, Diarse, possibly Gardner, Boone, Wright, maybe Brazil

move to DB in the future for some??

Would Avery redshirt?

Doubt it. Wouldn't make much sense since he was at a prep school last year

Going to prep school has no impact on whether a player will redshirt. Eligibility clock doesn't start until they enroll in college.

When Gardner's academic situation prevented him from enrolling at OU this summer, the four-star prospect enrolled at Sierra College in Rocklin, CA. Now ready to sign on with an FBS program

According to the linked articles - he couldn't qualify for OU. Doesn't LSU have a more stringent requirement? I remember a couple of players who couldn't enroll at LSU but managed to get into OU.

There is also the point that he makes about going to the NFL right away and wouldn't stay for more than a year - unless if Les is going all in for the title next year, it doesn't make sense to get a one year player at WR.

I guess some people would like to skip one Championship, and go for 2-3 , or bust.

I agree with the patterson comparison but Gardner appears to be the most physical blocking reciever I've seen on tape. Full highlight video

why?

I should have phrased that better with my assumptions included.

If CG is taken for the year at the risk of losing RSJ, then it would be back to square one next year with trying to recruit another great WR rather than have one for at least 3 years.

I guess my assumption is based on a previous post in this thread, that RSJ would definitely not sign if CG were taken along with the other Juco WR.

Agree. Next best thing is to pick up Gardner and Leslie for next year and then recruit Quinn, Dupre, Noil for 2014 and LSU will be just fine at WR.

Kid can't make up his mind

Commits to Arkansas.
Flips to OU(before the Petrino saga even happened)
Doesn't qualify at OU
Says he will just go pro
Now taking visits while still enrolled and taking classes at OU?
