I haven't followed him as much as I normally do. Just wondering what the future rotation looks like. How does he compare to past LSU pitchers or MLB pitchers for that matter? Does he become an instant weekend starter? What pitches does he bring? I like hearing from the knowledge on the recruiting board. TIA

Power pitcher. Big kid around 6'4" or 6'5" 220.
Fastball low-to-mid 90's, curve, slider I think

Will prolly compete with Latz for 3rd weekend starter. Loser may be the closer.

Aaron Nola was not even close to being as highly touted as Cole McKay is.

Yea McKay is the highest in awhile. Higher than any we currently have on staff. Not sure where Gausman was rated, but he prolly wasn't as high as McKay.

I am excited about him. I am also excited about Feleipe Franks. Heard he had a power fastball and a couple other good pitches

Deichmann was rated top 50 at one point.

Franks is focusing on football. Seriously doubt he'll ever wear a LSU baseball uni after he enrolls.

I hope he snaps out of whatever slump he's in right now. He's doing awful in summer ball.

I was more referring to pitchers, but I still didn't know he was rated that high. BA had him around 400 I thought...?? But I know he was higher than that most everywhere else.

He's a fast guy who hit for power in highschool so that's why they thought highly of him. I'm not sure what kind of fielder he is though.

I'm not worried about his summer ball slump as much as I am for Addams. Greg barely played this year and had an injury. Addams played all season and isn't even batting .100

I can't remember the last power pitcher that didn't just throw straight 4seam.... I would love a fast throwing 2 seam guy.

Reminds me a lot of Godfrey
Dunn will get ahold of him and refine his mechanics but he's got the stuff, fastball consistent 92 and can run it up to 95
The key will be development of his off speed pitches

Aaron Nova was rated really high coming out of high school. As high as 78 is what I saw.
