LSU is setting up “the best class in school history” again and is still comfortably beaten by Bama’s class
I can’t wait until people on this board say “next years class is stacked, just wait, best LSU class ever” before we finish 5-10 again and Bama is top

Because LSU lost basically 2 5 stars and whiffed on the rest of the bigger recruits. Webb has a pretty good ranking. Dumervil is good too but probably underrated for his ranking. Didn't offset losing 2 elite blue chip WRs and missed on Burch.

Kids go to Bama because of Saban, while Orgeron is still known as a guy who has had success because of his assistants. In other words, Saban has street cred and Orgeron is still building his.

Recruiting momentum takes years of work. They've been on top or near the top for this entire decade. It'll take more than one off-year to slow them down.

It’s incredible how well they especially considering the state is basically split in it’s loyalty to 2 major sec teams.
What other sec team has so much competition from another in state sec school?
Not ole miss / ms state. Not tenn / vandy. No other state.
Yet they continue to bring in top guys.
Qb is critical now days though. If Jones can perform at a high level, they’re again, a major threat. If he does not, they’re vulnerable.

Consider this- Bama is done at 25. We aren’t. We could sign 5-6 more and easily pass them up.

And good thing Saban was tied up getting ready for the playoffs while O was out recruiting, or it really would have been bad.

Just get that Ship and things really kick into gear. Not many schools recruit as well as LSU without having a ton of success on the field in almost a decade.
Clemson showed up and now they’re signing a historic class. Get that Ship and LSU will be a monster.
