I mean, imo, I think its obvious that he wants to get away. If you lost your mother which was your biggest tie to an area, wouldn't you want to move on. The kid needs to get a clean start and LSU is just too close to home imo for his comfort. Now I could just be BS but that's what I thought when I heard about his mother.

This was before recruits were the national celebrities that they are today. Guys from LaFourche in the 80s didn't know there was another school other than LSU (and Nichols, of course )

I know it's not like what it is today, but believe me those kids from the 80's & 90's knew more than just LSU, but they chose LSU in the end because if your born on the bayou your breed to love the tigers. When the River, New Orleans, & Baton Rouge kids were heading out of state during the 90's. Terrebonne/Lafourche players always choose LSU when it was an option, despite some having a great deal of other/better options at the time.

I think a package of Shep, Toliver, Randle, Reed, Davis, and Lache would be pretty bad arse.

All-American Troy Edwards was a slot WR at La Tech back in the day

And Crowton was the one that moved him from RB to WR when he came to LA Tech. Oh wait, forgot my rant braincap for a second...Crowton has never developed a player.

I still remember watching him shred the Nebraska defense for 21 catches, over 400 yards, and 4 TDs and not believing what I was seeing.

Regarding Reed, I just want to get one of the three - Reed, Wright, or Fobbs, and I really don't have a strong opinion on one particular one as a "must get." What I know I don't want: Reed to Auburn, Wright to Alabama, and Fobbs to A&M. That is unless we somehow happen to sign Darius White.

We probably will miss out on Reed due to Miles not using the weapons he already has available to him. If we have a chance then the last half of the year will be the key. Auburn game bigger than just a win/loss in relation to getting the last few kids. Hope we get him but I would say <than 50 percent chance. I have no facts just what my gut telling me and what I see with direction of the program .

I've been saying the same thing since he was considered a "lock." I don't think he is one of the players that will have a major impact on an SEC team. Good player with moderate impact? Maybe. Great, go to WR? No.

If Mike Davis signs, he would be the #1 WR in this class. Along with Hunter.

are you now of the opinion that reed and sistrunk will go their separate ways? we can prosper without reed (although I want him a whole lot), but to lose both of them is a "huge loss" if it occurs

Sorry but how is Reed any better than Tolliver? Looks like a carbon copy to me.

I actually feel the same about Reed that I did about Bell. If he goes, he goes. They will both have the same fate.

Well, I think Reed will eventually be at whatever school for 4 years. Bell will be back at Northwestern St. within the next 2 years.
