That doesn’t matter as much to recruits as you think. LSU had a rough year in 2002 and got slaughtered at home by Bama with a lot of big recruits in TS, yet had a monster recruiting class in Feb 2003.

I think they get to see all the spots they can contribute to immediately as it shouldn't be too hard to beat out the starter.

That’s not how recruiting really works. What a great recruit would have seen yesterday is a top program in terms of name, facilities, money and exposure offering an immediate shot at the 2 deep across a lot of positions and games on TV all but maybe one week of the season no matter what.
